简介：Thestoryofhowpolicerepeatedlyallowedaserialmurderertoslipthroughtheirfingers.StephenPortdate-rapedandmurderedfouryounggaymeninEastLondonwithinfifteenmonthsanddumpedallfourbodieswithinafewhundredmetresofeachother.YetBarkingandDagenhampolicefailedtolinkthedeaths,untilweeksafterthefourthone.ThefilmtellsthestorythrougheyesofthefamiliesofPort'svictims,unpickinghowthepolicefailedtoproperlyinvestigateeachofthedeathsinturn.Thepolice'sassumptionsthattheseyounggaymenhaddiedfromself-inflictedoverdosesofchem-sexdrugsallowedPorttocontinuerapingandkillinginnocentyoungmen.ThefilmunravelsPort'ssinistercharacterandmodusoperandi.Portwasmotivatedbyadesiretosatisfyhislustforabusivedrugfuelledsexualencounters.Hefoundallhisvictimsthroughgaydatingandsocialmediasites,usingmultipleonlineprofiles.BarkingandDagenhampolice'sfailingshaveledtohugeangeramongstthefamiliesofPort'svictims.Somehaveaccusedthepoliceofinstitutionalhomophobia,andaskedifofficerswouldhaveinvestigatedmorethoroughly,hadfouryoungwomenturnedupdeadwithinsuchasmallradius.TheMetpolicehavereferredthemselvestotheIndependentPoliceComplaintsCommissionovertheirhandlingofthecaseandwillnotcommentonspecificallegationsuntiltheIPCCinvestigationiscomplete.
